The Florence Atelier
The Florence Atelier is an art studio in the heart of Florence with a focus on traditional drawing and oil painting techniques and classical realism.
Currently the Florence Atelier is under construction, we will soon open our doors to artists and art enthusiasts who wish to study or work with us and participate in events!

Bargue Drawings
Based on the 19th century academic teachings of Charles Bargue, copying bargue plates is a great exercise to learn the basic fundamentals of realist art making. If you have no or very little experience drawing or painting, these excercises are the best starting point for you!
Cast
The work from the cast has a long tradition in realist art. Students learn how to accurately observe and reproduce from the real life object, learning the crucial skills necessary to be able to work in a realist way.
We offer working from the cast in a variety of mediums, including oil paint, graphite and charcoal.
Live Model
Drawing from the live model is one of the best exercises for those looking to improve their figurative works.
We offer both guided and free work sessions from the life model, from very short single sessions, tho long term work over multiple weeks.
Still life
Still life painitng is on of the highest forms of realist art. At our studio you will be guided through a step-by-step process and learn all the tools and skills necessary to successfully complete your very own still life painting.
